Driving Lessons

Friendly Driving Lessons in Marlborough, MA

Each 1:1 driving lesson takes place in one of our dual-controlled vehicles, all of which are backed by 5-star safety ratings. Plan to be there for 2 hours each time. We’ll start by working on foundational skills, such as accelerating, braking, turning, and parking. 

When you’re ready to move on from the basics, we’ll also cover:

  • Choosing the correct lane in multi-lane traffic
  • Managing speed on both surface roads and the highway
  • Navigating busy intersections and commercial areas
  • Driving confidently at night or in challenging conditions
  • Highway driving, including on-ramps, merges, and exits

License Testing

Driver’s License Road Test at The Next Street | Marlborough, MA

Test day doesn’t have to feel like the hardest part of getting your license. At our Marlborough location, you can skip the RMV entirely and take your road test right here: in a familiar setting, in our vehicle, with a TNS test host on hand to answer any last-minute questions and help settle your nerves. We handle the paperwork, and the RMV agent comes directly to us to evaluate students.

Driver’s License Road Test at the RMV (With TNS Car + Sponsor)

Rather test at the RMV? That works, too. We’ll bring our state-approved vehicle and have a TNS instructor serve as your sponsor on test day, so you’re never showing up alone or scrambling to find a car. RMV branches also tend to have earlier appointment availability, which means you could potentially get your license sooner.

License test appointments at our select locations are released to us by the RMV on a month-by-month basis. You may purchase a license test during enrollment or at any time after in the student portal. Once you have completed all of your requirements and are eligible to test, please contact us to schedule your driver’s license road test appointment at The Next Street.
